Mapex Storm Limited Edition 20″ 5pc Drum Kit, Red Overview

The Mapex Storm Limited Edition 20” 5pc Drum Kit is the perfect set for beginner and intermediate players. The poplar wood shells all feature Mapex’s SONIClear bearing edges, which are also featured on the high-end Mapex drum kits. This allows for much easier tuning with increased shell resonance and tonal clarity. All included Storm hardware features robust, double-braced legs with the Mapex concave design for absolute stability throughout your performances. To complete the set is the sleek, limited edition red finish.

SONIClear bearing edges

The SONIClear bearing edge is the standard for all Storm shells and allows the drum heads to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning, and a significantly expanded tuning range.

The SONIClear™ on the rack toms increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the drum heads and shell whilst preventing energy transfer to the hardware.

Storm double-braced hardware

The included Storm hardware features double-braced legs for robustness. They are 3 tier for maximum adjustment and cymbal placement. All Storm hardware features the new Mapex concave leg design for better positioning and greater stability throughout performances.

Premium Mapex quality

Made in Mapex’s wholly owned manufacturing facility, the kit is ready to head from rehearsal to show and back time and time again, standing you in good stead as a busy musician. Forever at the cutting edge of drum design, Mapex has redesigned the adjusters and holders of this kit, meaning you can be sure you will find the optimum position for your gear, and most importantly, that it will stay there throughout your gig. Crucial to truly great playing, take your time to set up your kit so the entire range of sounds is at your disposal at all times.
